THE INCEPTION OF...

Aven Designs began with Noah's desire to improve the furniture for her lash lounge, aiming to provide greater comfort for both clients and lash artists, thereby enhancing the customer experience and service.

Additionally, Noah sought to maintain a sleek, modern aesthetic while incorporating efficient storage solutions to keep the space organized and uncluttered despite accommodating a large number of individuals. This commitment to both functionality and design ultimately shaped the foundation of Aven Designs.

FOUNDING OF AVEN DESIGNS

My journey to founding Aven Designs began in my family's auto salvage yard, where I grew up working alongside my siblings and parents. From an early age, I was involved in various aspects of the business.

As business owners, my parents' willingness to take risks and forge their own path demonstrated the power of determination, resilience, and drive to succeed. These lessons helped shape my decision to be self employed and to always be open to new opportunities.

At 27, I bought my parents salvage yard and a car crusher, shifting the focus from parts and auto repair to the final "scrapping" stage of the industry with the new venture Armstrong Recycling.

In 2018, we entered the salon industry with the opening of Mariposa. Noah's focus on lashes led to the transition from a full service salon to a lash lounge. Noah has been fortunate to work with many great and talented artists over the years. During this time we used recliners on a platform and then modified chaise loungers, our desire for more functional lash furniture started us on a new path...

In early 2023 we began discussing the potential to design new lash beds for Mariposa. As those conversations progressed, the excitement of pursuing a new challenge after 30+ years in the salvage industry led us to fully commit to Aven Designs.

This venture represents a significant shift from my previous career, creating and building rather than smashing and destroying. While the industries are very different, I am grateful to continue in a family business with Noah, Avery, and Ben.

We are thrilled to have developed a business that allows us to create furniture that can contribute to the success of fellow entrepreneurs in the beauty industry.
